Co-founder and CEO / Money Mentor

Tony Zikas

Tony brings over two decades of experience in the financial services industry, beginning his career as a Financial Planner. Early on, he recognised a critical gap in the advice landscape, in which Australians were receiving little guidance when it came to lending and home ownership. This insight led him to establish one of Australia’s first mortgage broking businesses, driven by a mission to help people make more informed, confident financial decisions.

Throughout his career, Tony has remained passionate about financial education and empowerment. His practical, people-first approach continues to shape how Australian Money Mentors supports individuals across all stages of life.

Outside of his work in financial wellbeing, Tony is also a lifelong music enthusiast and had spent many years managing rock bands, a creative passion that brought balance and energy to everything he does.

Co-founder and CEO / Money Mentor

George Lambadaridis

George Lambadaridis is a former professional and current semi-professional footballer who combines firsthand experience in elite sport with a strong background in finance and education. His career journey sparked a personal mission to improve financial literacy and future planning for athletes.

After experiencing the pressures and uncertainty that come with a sudden change in career trajectory, George turned his focus to finance. He completed a Bachelor of Business and Commerce (majoring in Management and Human Resource Management) and obtained his Diploma and Certificate IV in Mortgage Broking Management. Today, he leverages that expertise to empower others with the tools and knowledge to make informed financial decisions.

While George has a strong passion for supporting athletes and works closely with organisations like the Professional Footballers Australia, his work extends far beyond the sporting world. He has built a diverse client base across all walks of life, providing personalised financial education to everyone’s goals and circumstances.

George is known for his approachable, empathetic style and commitment to helping people take control of their financial future whether they’re on the field, in business, or planning their next chapter.

Values

Australian Money Mentors was created to fill what was identified as a major gap in society’s knowledge. This gap is improving people’s understanding around money, to assist them in making more informed decisions to better shape their financial future.

01

Understanding money is something that has been severely neglected through our education system, which has been a major cause of the problem. Financial pressure also links very closely to other issues such as mental health, which is becoming more prevalent amongst today’s society. Other forces such as the rapid development of technology has also meant that money now moves faster than ever, which is an advantage but also represents danger, when consumers are able to transact for goods and services, and pay for it later, leaving them in some cases with unmanageable bad debt.

02

Australian Money Mentors is not just about helping treat the problem, but more so preventing it in the first place, simply via education. Key topics include money management, home ownership, banking and lending, protection of lifestyle, retirement planning and investing, along with other related topics.
